I would like to share a great holiday moment for the FlagPOST from Rio Vista Post Acute. The passion this team has for its LTC patients is incredible. Enjoy and have a great new year! Thank you for all you do to support us.

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.”—Elf

Rio Vista Therapy team took this holiday message to heart and planned a musical adventure for three of their long-term care residents with community reintegration goals. The evening included making reservations and having dinner at a local pizza place in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona, and attending Elf Jr, The Musical at Greasepaint Youth Theater.

Everyone had a fun-filled evening reinforcing many of the areas addressed in the therapy POCs. The group was able to meet and have their pictures taken with many of the production’s cast members, including Buddy the Elf himself! One resident stated having dinner out of the facility and being able to see a musical performance was the most fun she has had in years. The Rio Vista Therapy team is passionate about enriching the lives of their residents and looks forward to the next opportunity to partner with local organizations. Thank you to Aishourya Pradhan, PT; Owen McClure, OT; and Erik Sullivan, CTO, for going above and beyond to provide such a memorable night for the residents of Rio Vista Post Acute.
