The meaning of time? What exactly does that mean? To one person, it can be sooner rather than later, and to another person, it can be the far future. To one person here at Lakeside, it was inevitable that she would remain a resident. It took amazing therapists and nurses to show Ms. Castillo that time was in her favor.

Ms. Castillo came to us in January 2024 after countless fails at different facilities. She had the mindset of being a resident of a nursing home where she came to die. Little did she know that with the strong personalities of our Nursing and Rehab teams, we would see her wish of going home and living on her own happen again.

After almost six months of continued rehab and countless appointments, we were slowly getting our friend stronger and on to the next level of care. She went from a mechanical lift to a one-person transfer with a two-wheel walker; indeed, we were able to get our friend home! After three months of settling in, Ms. Castillo came to visit, walking into our building and now living on her own. The dedication of the staff at Lakeside made it possible, as we truly had faith and confidence in our promise that we would do whatever it took to get the patient home. As caregivers, we go the extra mile to make our clients happy, but little do they know they do the same for us. Our Mission is to deliver the best care ever, and we honored that exactly! OneClinical!
